On March 30th, the U10s and U12s were both in action at the Ron Easton Finals Day at Hurst College, having qualified a few weeks earlier.
The U10s faced two teams from Hawks HC teams, who were winners and runners up from the East tournament and also Mid Sussex HC who were the runners up to Burgess Hill HC from the West tournament. They won 2 games and drew 1 game and which put them on equal points with one of the Hawks team and 2nd overall, narrowly missing out on 1st place due to goal difference. The U10s have had a fantastic season, big thanks to their lead coach Giles Stubbs and also to their assistant coach Mark Robinson. Many of these girls will be moving onto the U12s next season and very likely to be making their first appearances for the Ambers Development Team - exciting times ahead!
The U12s, led by Steve Cordell and assisted by Evie Corney played against strong teams from Hawks and East Grinstead, who were the winners and runners up from the East tournament, as well as Horsham who were the winners of the West. They had two nail biting close games, with Horsham and Hawks, both games finishing in draws and they eventually finished 3rd overall after a good win by EG. Thank you to Steve and also to Evie for all the hard work with the U12s, they have progressed hugely through the season, with many of the girls playing both U12s and Ambers and a few debuting for the U14s!
